Internship Summary:
The HR Intern will play a key role in supporting data integrity and compliance within the Human Resources department. This position focuses on maintaining ADP as the system of record through accurate data entry, document archiving, and purging outdated files. The intern will also assist with document retention efforts by cataloging records, coordinating with HR functions, and ensuring proper storage in alignment with company policy. Through collaboration and attention to detail, the intern will help improve system accuracy, strengthen audit readiness, and support consistent recordkeeping practices across the organization.
The paid internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2026 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.
This is a hybrid position, generally working 1 day per week in the office or at a plant and 4 days remote.
The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.
Housing will not be provided for the internship
Responsibilities:
- Maintain ADP as the system of record by performing accurate data entry, archiving files, purging outdated documents, and identifying records for upload to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Support HR document retention efforts by cataloging records, coordinating with HR functions to verify proper storage, and executing purging activities in alignment with the company's retention policy.
- Strengthen audit readiness and reduce compliance risk by ensuring all HR documentation is properly managed and maintained.
- Collaborate with HR team members to uphold consistent recordkeeping practices across departments.
- Assist in improving system accuracy and operational efficiency through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a B.S. in Business, Human Resources, Management, or other related degree
- Completed at least two years of college education before beginning internship.
- Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Strong attention to detail, especially in recordkeeping, data entry, and compliance-related activities
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive HR information with confidentiality and discretion
- Professional demeanor and a strong desire to gain hands-on experience in HR operations and compliance
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.
- Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
