The Paraprofessional position is an integral member of the Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) team which includes a Clinician, Paraprofessional, and Family Partner. This is an intensive home and community-based service that is primarily in person and is based on the strengths of the family, with the focus on improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for the youth experiencing serious behavioral health symptoms by promoting healthy functioning within the family.

What You Will Be Doing to Support Youth and Families...

• Provide direct support to families in their home and community.
• Model positive behaviors and coping strategies for parents and children.
• Assist families with skill development (parenting skills, communication, organization, daily living).
• Support access to community resources such as housing, employment, education, and healthcare.
• Collaborate with the FIT team (clinicians, case managers, supervisors) to implement treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Promote family empowerment, safety, and stability at all times.

Requirements

 Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associates degree in Human Services from an accredited university OR intern enrolled in a master’s degree program in the human services field
• Trained to provide family members with therapeutic support for behavioral health needs
• Experience with care coordination/targeted case management
• Skills in client advocacy and conflict mediation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
