Part-Time Library Technician - Sewell Mill and Switzer Library na Cobb County Government, GA

About the Department

These two part-time Library Technician positions are located at the Sewell Mill and Switzer Library. These positions will work 18 hours per week, including some nights and weekends.

Position Duties

Circulation/information services including: checking books in and out; registering patrons for library cards; registering patrons for voter registration cards.

Take fines for overdue books.

Assist in keeping daily statistics.

Develops and maintains a working knowledge about the organization and care of library materials, library services and programs.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; supplemented by six or more months work experience involving public interaction/customer service.

Other Qualifications

Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.

Sensory Requirements

Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Environmental Factors

Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
