JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary 
 This position is responsible for cleaning the assigned areas throughout the plant in addition to the QA Building, Training Center, HR/Finance Offices, Front Office and Heritage Center. Coordinates with janitorial staff to ensure all support areas of the plant are adequately cleaned and stocked with the necessary supplies. Responsible for periodic weekend janitorial coverage. Understands industry’s best practices and ensures quality workmanship to support the achievement of the company’s vision, mission and values.  

Essential Functions

• Delivery of clean, reusable utensils to assigned locations throughout the plant.
• Maintain inventory and re-stocking of chemicals and supplies used by custodial staff.
• Complete the cleaning of all assigned areas including sweeping, mopping, dusting, wall-cleaning, light-cover cleaning, vacuuming floors, etc.
• Refill of auto-handwashing station chemicals.
• Upkeep of Critical Hygiene Point (CHP) stations to include cleaning, stocking janitorial and GMP supplies, maintaining foot-foamers and ensuring the CHP signage is properly displayed.
• Clean assigned windows and doors throughout the facility.
• Collect, wash and return uniforms, jackets, gloves, mops and Swiffer mop-heads as assigned.
• Ensure assigned restrooms, employee entry areas, hallways, locker rooms and break rooms are clean and well-stocked at the end of each day.
• Complete cleaning responsibilities in off-site Valley Queen property, as assigned.
• Supports safety and quality assurance programs by completing the assigned preventive maintenance work orders.  
• Responsible for the delivery of supplies from the warehouse to the cheese supply room.
• Responsible for ensuring GMP supplies are stocked and available for employee use.
• Organize and maintain the cheese supply room, all Janitor storage areas and employee uniform areas.

Supervisory Responsibility
 This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
 This job operates in a plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Exposed to extreme temperature variations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

 This is a Part-time position.  

Travel
 Less than five percent travel expected for this position.

Required Education, Experience & Certifications

High school diploma/GED. Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Preferred Education, Experience & Certifications

Bilingual in English/Spanish.
