Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership, vision, and governance for all aspects of Hastings College's technology infrastructure and services. This leadership role is responsible for the development and execution of an enterprise-wide IT strategy that aligns with and advances the College's mission and strategic goals. The Director will foster innovation, ensure the security and resilience of the College's digital assets, and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional technology services that support teaching, learning, and administration.

Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Chief Information Officer and other senior leaders, architect, develop, and champion the College's long-term IT strategic plan and technology roadmap.
- Provide strategic vision and executive leadership in the innovative use of technology to advance academic excellence, enhance student success, and improve administrative efficiency.
- Champion and evaluate emerging technologies, assessing their potential to enhance the academic and administrative experience, and develop roadmaps for their adoption.
- Direct the strategic planning, design, implementation, and lifecycle management of the College's enterprise technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, storage, and telecommunications systems.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of institutional data. Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Oversee the portfolio of enterprise applications (including SIS, LMS, ERP) ensuring their strategic alignment, data integrity, and optimal performance in meeting the College’s needs.
- Serve as a key strategic partner to academic and administrative leaders across the College, ensuring IT initiatives are aligned with departmental and institutional objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Information Technology department, cultivating a culture of service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the annual IT operational and capital budgets, ensuring responsible fiscal stewardship and alignment with institutional priorities.
- Direct IT vendor management and procurement strategies, negotiating contracts and fostering strategic partnerships to maximize value for the College.
- Establish and oversee a college-wide IT governance framework, developing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance, manage risk, and guide technology decisions.
- Ensure institutional compliance with all relevant laws and regulations concerning data privacy and security, including FERPA, GLBA, and others.
- Sponsor initiatives to enhance digital literacy and technology adoption across campus community constituencies.
- Establish and direct the IT project portfolio management process, ensuring a disciplined approach to project intake, prioritization, and execution that aligns with strategic goals.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience, preferably in a higher education setting, with at least 3-5 years in a significant management or strategic role.
