Provide direct services in the Occupational Therapy Center and the Hussman Center for Adults with Autism. Collaborate with Institute for Well Being (IWB) Center Directors to support daily operations and programming. Participate in student orientations for on campus clinical experiences. Support the Director of the IWB and Clinical Center Directors at the IWB. Assist with management of credentialing/re-credentialing process of licensed clinical supervisors. Gather and track annual reporting data. Represent the IWB through community outreach and marketing efforts. 


  • Provide direct clinical supervision in year-round programming in the Occupational Therapy Center, including screenings and evaluations, treatment planning, treatment implementation, reassessment and documentation as needed. Ensure smooth operations of programs when in session.  
  • Participate with program assistance and coverage for the Hussman Center for Adults with Autism (HCAA) and the HCAA Program Supervisor as needed. Provide direct one-on-one support to Hussman Center participants needing specialized assistance while participating in programs. Support neurodiverse and neurotypical students in their role at the Hussman Center. Participate in HCAA orientations, including student orientations for their involvement in HCAA programs and participant orientations. Able to lead a Hussman Center program in an area of interest. Attend and support Hussman Center special events on and off site. Assist HCAA Program Supervisor with participant program reports from facilitators and distribution to participants each semester.  
  • Interact on a regular basis with participants and/or clients and their families/caregivers. Provide in-depth information regarding participation requirements. Coordinate support with other agencies in the community as needed.
  • Participate in program development for new initiatives in the Occupational Therapy Center, including participating in cross-disciplinary committees focusing on program improvement. Provide trainings and orientations for newly hired Supervisors. Support Occupational Therapy Director by participating in adjunct clinical peer evaluations. 
  • Support IWB Director with collection of annual data for dissemination at college-wide meetings. Create and maintain spreadsheets containing annual report data. Manage the credentialing process for new clinical providers and recredentialing process for existing providers. Maintain current credentialing files through national databases to ensure active provider records resulting in timely and accurate claim processing for services received. Communicate with providers and insurance agencies to ascertain accurate information on file with the IWB and in the national credentialing database.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts and represent all IWB Centers and distribute information through community outreach, information tables at community events and publications. Prepare and review materials for dissemination in a variety of formats. Meet with local businesses/agencies to promote programs. Assist with social media maintaining an online presence and highlighting IWB programs.  
  • Support the IWB and College of Health Professions with other related duties as assigned.

Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.

Required:

  • Master's Degree
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Two years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently and interact with the public, employees, students in a courteous, respectful and efficient manner. 
  • Experienced with providing a positive attitude and business professional attire as a representative of the department/organization.
  • Effectively prioritize key tasks, shifting to higher priorities when needed and meeting deadlines. 
  • Strong customer service skills, organizational and time management skills to meet required deadlines. 
  • Ability to develop efficient practices and systems and learn new skills. 
  • Multi-tasking skills and attention to detail. 
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in supervising occupational therapy students in clinical setting.
  • Previous experience in working with autistic individuals.
