Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Quality Assurance Analyst to join our QA team in Bangalore. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with 5-7 years of QA team leadership experience, with hands-on experience in automation testing, who can work effectively with test requirements and automation tools such as OpKey or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of 5 on-site and contract QA resources.
- Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web-based applications, ensuring full coverage of functional, UI, cross-browser, and responsive behavior.
- Experience in manual and automation testing of web pages to validate system performance, data integrity, and user experience.
- Experience in executing functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests.
- Identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle.
- Develop test strategies, testcases and plans based on project requirements.
- Determine test scope, objectives, resources, and timelines.
- Write clear and concise test cases, test scripts, and prepare test data.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers in Agile/Scrum environments to review requirements and ensure testability.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) to ensure consistent performance across devices and resolutions.
- Understand and analyze business and technical requirements.
- Develop, maintain and execute automated regression test suites using tools like Opkey integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, report, and track bugs using Jira, verifying fixes and performing re-tests to ensure closure.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues not covered by predefined test cases.
- Lead smoke, sanity, and regression testing cycles before production deployments, ensuring high-quality releases.
- Maintain and update test documentation to reflect changes in the application and business logic.
- Provide feedback on requirements document and participate in regular sprint ceremonies (standups, retrospectives, sprint planning).
- Promote best practices in software development and testing.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues.
- Strong understanding of SDLC models and Testing Methodology.
- Versatile team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of IT QA experience
- 5-7 years of IT QA Team leadership experience
- 7+ years of QA automation experience in an enterprise environment
- Proficiency in using automation platforms like OpKey, Selenium, or similar tools
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into automated test scripts
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with test data creation and management
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
