Position Description
The Unit Clerk will maintain medical records on the units, schedule transports & assist the nursing staff with all clerical duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet, direct, and assist visitors to resident rooms, office areas, etc., as necessary
 - Retrieve medical record information promptly upon request by authorized individuals
 - Record appropriate resident identification data in designated medical records
 - Keep nursing service personnel informed of resident scheduled appointments
 - Scan/File admission papers from sending facility and all diagnostic reports into the medical record
 - Scan/File all diagnostic reports into the medical record
 - Schedule resident follow-up appointments and arrange transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic services as needed
 
Qualifications
- Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
 - Prior work with elders in a community or long-term care setting is preferred.
 - Must possess excellent computer skills.
