About this Position
We’re seeking a proactive and innovative professional to join our team at Henkel’s Ingleburn site, where you’ll lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge packaging solutions for our renowned consumer brands. In this exciting role, you'll take projects from concept to execution, driving innovation that meets the highest standards in quality, cost-efficiency, sustainability, and consumer appeal—all while aligning with brand objectives. - Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions that meet international standards for quality, functionality, cost, sustainability, safety, and compliance.
- Design packaging for promotional activities, ensuring alignment with brand and market requirements.
- Conduct packaging validation and qualification, including performance and compatibility testing, and approve technical aspects of packaging artworks.
- Maintain and manage packaging specification databases, including measurements and statistical analysis.
- Identify and assess new materials or technologies that support cost reduction, process improvement, and complexity reduction.
- Contribute to Henkel’s sustainability goals and ensure compliance with APCO covenant obligations.
- Monitor packaging trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers and collaborate effectively across R&D and cross-functional teams.
What makes you a good fit
- Degree in Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a packaging role, preferably within the FMCG or a similar industry.
- Hands-on experience with measurement and testing equipment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with design and statistical tools such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and relevant analysis software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and collaborative mindset.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
