Shift: Monday-Friday (8a-4p)

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules in order to ensure all company goals and deadlines are met.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Know and understand press status at all times
  • Review status of orders currently on press
  • Review status of material and die deliveries
  • Know status of current inventory levels
  • Onboard new orders to the department
  • Receive orders from the plate department or runner
  • Review orders for discrepancies in press assignments or tooling
  • Enter orders into Monday.com
  • Determine press counts using Flex Count spreadsheet
  • Check availability of materials required 
  • Communicate with Materials and Production Planning for material ETA
  • Decide which press to assign order to, based on tooling availability and press usage
  • Verify tooling not in use by other presses
  • Add order to press running order based on tooling, inks, and due date
  • Add press count info from Flex Count sheet
  • Move the order to FA schedule in Monday.com
  • Move orders and plates to the appropriate press
  • Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding press schedule, tooling or special items required
  • Communicate with other departments as needed – material status, die status, etc.
  • Review Open Orders Report for orders to send to Express Labels
  • Email Order Entry to move orders to Express in OM
  • Review emails from Order Entry for press tooling and provide feedback
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have experience working with the following systems/tools: OM, Entapps, Flex, Monday.com, MyRoto.com, Digital Model, Flex Count Sheet, FA press tooling inventory
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must be able to accurately prioritize a list of tasks that need to be accomplished
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and an excellent communicator
