- Collect, track, and forward manifestation paperwork from schools and the Office of Special Education.
- Receive and route telephone calls; take messages and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate student files and records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Prepare and submit IDOE status reports.
- Proofread, process, and distribute psycho-educational reports to schools, parents, and outside agencies.
- Manage referral and evaluation processes, including mailing legally required documentation to parents and schools, tracking receipt of documents and maintaining detailed communication records.
- Coordinate reevaluations by distributing required information to schools, monitoring strict timelines, and documenting receipt of materials.
- Communicate with the Early Childhood Special Education Office to schedule preschool evaluations, arrange case conferences, and maintain records.
- Prepare and share communications with principals and administrators (e.g., early kindergarten entry information).
- Maintain a professional, helpful attitude when interacting with staff, parents, and visitors.
- Handle confidential student information with strict discretion.
- Create reports, letters, charts, and collaborative documents using Microsoft Office and Google Office Suite.
- Enter and manage data in special education tracking systems and computerized scoring programs.
- Process 504 plans and updates.
- Collect 504 manifestation paperwork from schools
- Coordinate and schedule 504 manifestation determination meetings with schools and families
- Review and process out-of-district approvals for IEPs and psychological reports.
- Provide lunch break coverage at the Culver Family Learning Center main office desk.
- Provide backup coverage and support for secretaries in the Psychology office during absences or peak workload periods.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to operate personal computers and skilled in Google, Microsoft and PowerSchool SIS, and PowerSchool Special Programs applications.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.

Position Details: | This position works 191 days a year. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Salary: |
Annual, incremental pay increases are given for each year of service with the EVSC in this role if an employee has worked at least 120 days in a school year. New employees will begin on year 1. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
