Education Support Professional at HEC Academy

Join the HEC Academy team as an Education Support Professional and help us empower high school students with academic and therapeutic support in a supportive, small-school setting.

What You'll Do

As an integral part of our team, you'll work directly with licensed special educators and content teachers to support teaching and learning. You'll play a key role in the daily life of our school by helping to implement our behavior management system, ensuring a structured and positive learning atmosphere for all students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, flexibility, and compassion in their work, connecting with students and colleagues to create a truly supportive environment.

What We're Looking For

• Patience, flexibility, and compassion are essential qualities for success in this role.

• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting is highly desired.

• A background in Math or Science is a plus.

• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

HEC Academy

HEC Academy is a therapeutic, public day special education program for youth in grades 9-12 who are eligible to receive services via an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Our students typically present with social-emotional challenges, learning disabilities, ADHD, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, we have experienced success in supporting students experiencing depression, anxiety, and related patterns of school refusal.
