Pine State Beverage is currently looking for an Accounting Specialist who would be responsible for helping manage all forms of financial accounts within an organization by keeping accurate records of both accounts payable and accounts receivable, while ensuring that invoices are paid when necessary, and that clients pay their invoices as required.

Job Duties:

  • Receive and analyze invoices prior to processing through document management system ensuring accuracy of information and that issues are identified and routed to appropriate personnel for review.
  • Review and manage receiving documents.
  • Review and manage Pine State Spirits manual delivery manifest.
  • Make appropriate debit/credit adjustments as necessary.
  • Manage excise tax processes.
  • Manage the timely processing of payables.
  • Identify and investigate missing invoices, working with company business unit personnel as needed to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure invoices, credits and returns are reconciled and balanced daily.
  • Process electronic transactions.
  • Provide billing statements to sales/customers to aid in the collection process.
  • Provide information and respond to inquiries, requests and concerns related to accounts receivable and credit information.
  • Process customer refunds as necessary.
  • Process supplier billing statements.
  • Manage/update supplier contact information.
  • Manage the vendor Billback process.  
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the company’s AR, AP, and financial functions

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in accounting or related field, or experience equivalent to schooling.
  • 3+ years of combined Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or other accounting experience.
  • Office hours are from M-F, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with Monday or Friday work from home option.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and explain company policies and procedures, and to apply guidelines appropriately to a variety of different situations.
  • Computer knowledge with familiarity of accounting systems, email systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Must be highly organized, with excellent communication skills to be able to disseminate information to the company and follow instructions.
