The Procurement Associate I job is to be a source to support company operations by providing purchasing support to all internal departments through the acquisition of approved materials, equipment or services from approved vendors

• Assist with placing and tracking purchase orders to support organizational needs.
• Follow up with vendors on order status and resolve issues related to delivery delays or discrepancies.
• Review and process purchase requisitions for materials, equipment, or services.
• Support the entry and maintenance of purchasing data in the ERP system, including material and vendor information.
• Coordinate with finance to ensure correct coding and documentation for purchases.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff on material receipts, rejections, and returns.
• Maintain vendor records and purchasing documentation per internal processes.
• Ensure compliance with existing vendor contracts and obtain required approvals for purchases.
• Support documentation management, including packing slips, confirmations, and vendor files.

Associates Degree Business or related field or 6 years direct, relevant experience with Purchasing in an FDA regulated industry to provide a comparable background

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and other general office equipment.
Demonstrable knowledge of ERP applications

Physical Requirements:

• Office Setting (no travel): General office, warehouse and laboratory setting.

• Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication.
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required.
• Ability to work under specific time constraints.
• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time.
• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
