What will you do as a PMC Nuclear Medicine Technologist
As a PMC Nuclear Tech you will serve as an essential part of the patient’s experience by performing nuclear medicine procedures while working effectively with patients and patient’s families and maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.
A day in the life of a PMC Nuclear Medicine Technologist may include:
- Greets and identifies correct patients and provides a brief explanation of requested procedures to ensure patient care and patients’ right to know.
- Scheduling and coordinating patient’s exams.
- Prepares and injects radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Processes diagnostic imaging procedures and records radiopharmaceuticals administration to patients.
- Receives and records appropriate information regarding the receipt of radioactive materials and pharmaceuticals.
- Requests and coordinates all necessary patient information including medical chart, and charge slips.
- Perform quality assurance procedures on the equipment on a daily basis including daily/weekly surveys and wipe testing procedures are required.
- Performs and records daily quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct and accurate operation. Troubleshoot, when possible, and report problems to supervisor.
- Perform daily and weekly departmental surveys to ensure compliance of the radiation standards of the department and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Report contamination to RSO.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine technology required. Registered by either the AART or NMTCB and state license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays
Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
