Summary of Role:  

The Facilities Logistics Service Technician (FLST) is responsible for completing assigned tasks as directed by FLSL in the Mailroom, Shipping and Receiving area, and Warehouse in support of an 8-billion-dollar corporation with 62 locations across New York State.  

 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities 

Mailroom 

  • Perform all mailroom functions, ensuring incoming/outgoing mail is processed in a timely manner 

  • Deliver mail and UPS, Federal Express, and USPS to designated locations  

  • Manage mailroom operations supplies  

Shipping and receiving  

  • Receive, verify, and process inbound/outbound packages and aggregate shipments 

  • Return incorrect or damaged shipments, track missing orders, alert leadership of discrepancies as they occur 

  • Ensure shipping and receiving actions are completed in accordance with Company standards and procedures  

Inventory Management 

  • Create and or manage inventory related records, reports, and paperwork 

  • Maintain and update all related systems of record  

  • Perform warehousing operations; review invoices for accuracy, maintain and organize stock room/warehouse, move materials, and finished goods to appropriate storage bin locations 

  • Coordinate material requisitions and adjust inventory levels, process purchase orders, and fulfill departmental requisitions 

  • Complete a variety of inventory duties including stock counts of consumables and annual inventories 

Staff and Vendor relations 

  • Serve as a contact for both internal and external communication with vendors for key support related functions 

  • Interact daily with vendors and end consumers for seamless transition between requisition and end user satisfaction 

  • Monitor usage and activities in the Wellness Center in accordance with Broadview policies and Fitness Center rules 

  • Perform Fitness Center routine maintenance and cleaning as required 

  • Serve as an alternate point of contact for questions/concerns  

Other duties 

  • Complete work orders related to the assigned area 

  • Assume Facilities Logistics Service Leader responsibilities when directed 

  • Support company operations, ensure supervisors are informed of task statuses 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Directorate leadership 

Minimum Job Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) 

  • Minimum of Six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with no violations 

Special Requirements: 

  • Workplace/physical demands/work environment 

  • Employee will adhere to OSHA workplace safety standards 

  • Employee may at times be directed to work additional hours when required to complete major projects 

  • Employee may be required to travel between administrative buildings, branches, and or various vendor locations 

  • Employee may be required to fill-in for other team members during holiday schedules or staffing challenges 

  • In performance of daily duties, employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear without limitations 

  • Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch without limitations 

  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 

  • This job can be noisy at times, and you may be working in proximity with others (both inside and outside of the organization) 

  • In the normal course of the day, employee may be exposed to above or below temperatures when in conduct of shipping and receiving and or warehousing operations   

Starting Compensation: $17.29-$20.74/hr., plus a competitive benefits package
