Mars Horsecare - Extruder Operator Position at Dalton, Ohio

Required Shift:

• 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3 PM

Job Purpose:

Take control of and own all facets of the Extrusion Department, including operation, preventative maintenance, sanitation, and quality control.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Skills: Mechanically inclined
• Skills: Technologically savvy with computers

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-80 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-2,000 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping
• Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 8 hours in one shift)
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet environments
• Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certifications
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Extruder experience

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

• Operating the extruder and all related equipment
• Delivering on all quality and safety requirements
• Maintaining all sanitation of the department
• Collaborating with other operations associates to accomplish all plant goals and production needs
