Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Cardinal McCloskey Community Services is seeking a dependable and mission-driven Transport Worker to support our Fair Futures program, serving children and youth ages 11–26. In this essential role, you'll help youth access educational, vocational, and housing opportunities by providing safe and timely transportation.
Responsibilites:
- Provide transportation for youth to schools, colleges, vocational programs, and housing-related appointments
- Maintain accurate car logs, gas records, and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Ensure both agency vehicles are clean, inspected, and in good working condition
- Coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs, ensuring proper hand-offs to responsible adults
- Transport youth with IEP-related bussing needs to and from school
- Support college-related travel including start/end of semesters and holiday breaks
- Facilitate transportation for college tours and vocational program visits
- Assist youth in attending agency and external appointments for housing applications
- Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in in-service training
Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED required.
- NYS driver's license required with clean driving record.
- Work experience in Child Welfare and/or Office of Mental Health System preferred
- Computer literacy required
