Missions:

• Support our global roadmap and OEM targets to reduce the carbon footpring by using recycled materials for our visible exterior parts
• animalte materials training modules & coaching sessions
• Defines the optimum raw material for the projects
• ensure success of new materials implementation in the plants
• Solves material problems and contribute to paint and glue problems encountered during the project and production

Activities:

For projects in quotation and development:

• Analyse the OEM Material specifications
• Defines the technical criteria to choose the raw material, based on
  • customer requirements
  • typology of parts to reach the functional performances required
  • purchasing strategy
  • plant constraints and technical feedback
• Proposes a risk assessment and validation plan to procect, define the tests to perform by our laboratory or our chemists
• Recommends the raw material to the project, based on validation results
• Define material recommendation sheet and disclaimers to the customers
• Keeps regular contacts with customers and suppliers (chemists, compounders) to understand and orientate the qualification of the raw material

For productivity project and production:

• Proposes alternative raw material solutions to reduce costs and / or improved quality of the products
• Assists production plants in the event of problems linked to raw material during serial life

Suppliers follow up:

• Leads supplier’s development policy in order to meet customer requirements on current and future projects
• Participate to supplier audit when needed
• Identify and anticipate needs for new development and coordinate with the suppliers in line with OPmobility strategy
• Create Supplier specifications

Network and Capitalisation:

• Collect feedback, blocking points and Best Practices from Eng. Centers and Plants
• Formalize Lesson Learned and Golden Rules, communicate them to Eng.Centers and Plants
• Exchange with the worldwide material network (Exterior & Lighting)
• Ensure technical exchange and network with other Departments: Injection, Paint, Bonding, R&I, CAE (material data cards)

Innovation:

• Give recommendations to Innovation teams to meet OEM requirements
• Prepare the transition form Innovation to Development phase

Training:

• Create or update technical training modules
• Animation of the training sessions & coaching sessions focus on recycled material

HSE:

• Ensure that materials are compliant to regulation (Reach) and OPmobility policies
• Ensure that material proposed are compliant to OPmobility sustainability strategy

Compentences requirements:

• Master degree in materials or Engineering degree in chemistry
• 4-5 years significant experience in the field of polymers
• knowledge on polymer formulation & testing
• Fluent in english and german
