Job Title: Assembly Reports To: Operations Supervisor
Department/Area: Operations - Assembly Pay Rate: Grade 7 - $20.55 per hour
Shift: 1st (6:30am-3:00pm) overtime & Saturday as needed
JOB SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for the Assembly of a Commercial Laundry Unit (Dryer/Washer). Operators
may be trained cross-functionally to support any Assembly Line. Using WCM related tools operators are
required to have high standards for Quality and Safety while performing job related duties. Operators
will use a variety of tools and equipment, and work as part of a team to accomplish daily targets.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned):
1. Fasten or assemble light and medium size parts and make wire connections
2. Interact and/or run light machinery
3. Operate electrical, hydraulic and air activated hand tools
4. Read and follow standard work directions on the assembly line
5. Work in a team environment embedded in lean manufacturing methodology
6. Drive plant performance through Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics
7. Keep work area clean and organized
8. Area cleanliness for process flow improvement
9. Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by area Supervisor or Department Manager
10. Must have the ability to bend, push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds
11. Ability to continuously stand or walk during shift
12. Will climb ladders or work on elevated surface on occasional basis during shift
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● High School Diploma/GED
● At least 18 years old
● Strong analytical skills
● Ability to work independently and in a team environment
● Effective communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years previous assembly or manufacturing experience
1+ years experience in a continuous improvement environment
