Position Duties
The Town of Marana is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to work in the Information Technology Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in applying GIS concepts and skills to solve real world problems and improving the ability of Town departments to fulfill their mission. This is a vital role in maintaining our data currency and exploring and implementing GIS solutions to improve established business processes. This position will also work within our team to maintain and develop web and mobile GIS solutions. This is an exciting position and will offer you the opportunity to utilize not only your existing GIS skills but allow you to expand those skills, all while helping the Town of Marana maintain its 5-star service level to its citizens.

Expected Hiring Range: $70,538 - $88,173
- Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range: $70,538 - $105,807
Minimum Qualifications
- Designs and/or prepares cartographic representations of GIS data as needed from all Town departments, using both desktop and web mapping applications
- Acts as the lead technical addressing official for the Town and maintains and troubleshoots GIS addressing data
- Coordinates with stakeholders and leads GIS projects from all Town departments
- Acts as a lead in the training and guidance of GIS Analysts in GIS procedures and analysis
- Processes and loads aerial raster imagery into enterprise GIS databases
Other Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or related field. (Additional relevant professional experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis.)
- Over three years of experience in ArcGIS Pro, including installation, and working with enterprise geodatabases in a versioned environment
- Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check
- Must pass fingerprint clearance background check
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in the administering and development of web and mobile GIS products, including Survey123
- Proficient with scripting languages, such as Python and ArcGIS Arcade.
- Proficient in managing enterprise geodatabases, including design and creation, with special consideration given to experience with geodatabases deployed on MS SQL.
- Experience leading GIS projects and providing technical leadership to other team members
