Part-time Faculty - Green Gardening & Landscaping Instructor na Allan Hancock College

About the Department

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach the noncredit Green Gardening and Landscaping certificate program classes. Anticipated start date is spring, 2026 semester.  This position is a part-time, non-tenure track faculty position with Community Education.  

Position Duties

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and two years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught, or an associate degree and six years of occupational experience, or the equivalent per Board Policy 7211. 

Special Qualification: Sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and to staff and students with disabilities.

Other Qualifications

SALARY:

• Lecture Rate: $48.22 to $62.54 per hour depending upon education and experience

• Activity & Non-Classroom Rate: $34.60 to $46.96 per hour depending upon education and experience
