Patient Access Representative na Cary Medical Center

Status/Hours: 40 hours per week.

Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Access Representative to join our Patient Access team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth hospital operations and providing excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Professionally receiving and directing telephone calls and inquiries
  
• Assisting and consulting with patients, visitors, and staff entering the hospital
  
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and ongoing logs as requested
  
• Keeping detailed records of all inpatients
  
• Handling emergencies with calmness and efficiency
  
• Recording staffing meeting minutes and distributing as needed
  
• Supporting daily switchboard functions and directing patient traffic/questions appropriately

Requirements

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have excellent telephone etiquette.
• Type at least 30 WPM with accuracy.

Schedule:

• M-F 7a-3p
• With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other departments.
