Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Develop goals and strategies necessary to increase public awareness of the Greater Regional programs and services and enhance community attitudes and
support. - In accordance with GRH’s Public Relations and Marketing plan, develop and maintain relationships with GRH’s public which include patients and residents, employees and physicians, and the public through effective relatively low-cost strategies.
- Serve as a primary spokesperson in responding to news media.
- Oversee Greater Regional’s advertising campaigns to include, social media, print advertising, radio, television, telephone directory, web page, movie theaters, etc.
- Manage planning, layout, production, and distribution of internal and external publications such as newsletters, press releases, feature stories, informational brochures and so forth.
- Implement plan to promote Greater Regional through sponsored programs such as patient and community education programs, facility tours, public speaking and
related programs, event. - Develop and implement marketing strategic plan and budget.
- Assist in coordination of new physician orientation to GRH.
- Work closely with special interest groups, campaign planning, targeted programs and community events/health fairs. Facilitate regular education programs for community, i.e., lunch-n-learns, feature stories, etc.
- Assesses market areas, develops marketing programs. Oversees preparation of promotional, materials and monitors results to determine needs and satisfaction.
- Acts as the public information officer: A. Coordinates GR media contacts concerning emergency or incident command activated situations. B. Prepares briefing statements for staff members following risk communication plan of Greater Regional. C. Determines overall media policy, coordinates media activities, and develops media statements during emergencies.
- Develops and maintains Greater Regional website.
- Evaluates and approves non-capital sponsorships request received from the community.
- Keeps up to date on all trends in the industry.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Ability to develop creative advertising and marketing ideas.
- Relevant managerial and/or marketing experience
- Presentation skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Public Relations and/or media experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit environment, with a proven track record of fundraising and/or sales.
- Healthcare experience a plus.
- Must be comfortable working in a non-profit and/or sales environment
- Ability to use Publisher, Adobe, Canva, Corel Draw, and other computer print shop software programs.
