Wage range: $21-$23 DOE
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 45–50 hours per week. Some weekends, evenings, and holidays required based on training schedules and game days.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Culinary Operations
- Prepare and execute meals that align with individualized performance nutrition goals and menu plans.
- Follow standardized recipes and adhere to guidelines provided by the culinary and nutrition leadership team.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in all dishes served to athletes and staff.
- Set up and break down kitchen stations daily, keeping workspaces clean, organized, and efficient.
- Team Support
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth prep and service operations.
- Take direction from the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and Dietitian Director, and complete delegated tasks with attention to detail.
- Contribute positively to kitchen morale and maintain a respectful and professional attitude at all times.
- Ingredient Handling & Quality
- Handle and prepare ingredients with care, focusing on freshness, seasonality, and local sourcing.
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, labeling, and storing food deliveries in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support efforts to minimize food waste and optimize ingredient use.
Nutrition & Dietary Support
- Prepare meals that accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, dietary preferences, and portion control requirements.
- Ensure dishes meet macronutrient and micronutrient targets, especially as they pertain to athletic recovery and performance.
- Communicate clearly when substitutions or modifications are needed to meet dietary restrictions.
Kitchen Standards & Efficiency
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with health department guidelines.
- Support inventory checks, ingredient rotation, and kitchen organization.
- Uphold efficient prep methods and contribute to a lean, high-functioning kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Culinary certification or professional kitchen experience required (2+ years preferred).
- Prior experience in health-conscious, wellness-focused, or performance-based cooking environments a strong plus.
- Strong knife skills, understanding of cooking techniques, and ability to follow recipes with consistency.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, allergen protocols, and kitchen sanitation procedures.
- Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and whole-food nutrition.
- Ability to follow directions, work efficiently, and adapt in a high-intensity kitchen setting.
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Must be a dependable team player with excellent time management skills.
- Spanish speakers desired but not necessary
Additional Expectations:
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays in alignment with team schedules and special events.
- Willingness to learn about performance nutrition and apply those principles in meal preparation.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic in delivering consistent, athlete-focused meals.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in a high-profile sports environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
