Arconic is currently in search of a Financial Accounting Intern to join our Corporate Financial Accounting team in Pittsburgh, PA. The Corporate Financial Accounting Team is responsible for evaluating complex accounting issues and transactions, consolidation of financial statements, analysis of financial results for both the consolidated reporting entity and individual subsidiaries, and other activities to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of Arconic’s financial results for both internal and external purposes.
As an intern, you will be a valued member of a high-performance team serving a dynamic and industry leading company. The purpose of the Internship Program is to introduce students to Arconic through a challenging and rewarding experience which introduces students to the monthly closing process, review of financial statements, financial policy review and approvals, and accounting reviews of specific transactions.
As an intern, candidates will:
- Attend orientation where you will learn about Arconic’s culture, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of the company
- Receive area-specific training designed to help you succeed
- Work on real staff responsibilities alongside experienced team members
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and review of external financial filings
- Analyzing monthly financial results and summarizing findings for review by senior management
- Preparing ad hoc analysis as requested to support Corporate Financial Accounting projects
- Provide oversight, maintain, and update the Arconic accounting policy manual, which is used by both financial and nonfinancial personnel
- Managing ongoing relationships with personnel within the Business Units and the Resource Units.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration/Management from an accredited institution
- Must have an expected graduation date in late 2026 or Spring/Summer of 2027.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess strong leadership competencies, strong team and analytical skills, strategic thinking skills, dedication and enthusiasm for work in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, especially as part of a team, and the ability to understand complex business issues.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required, along with an overall level of expertise in MS Office environments.
- Involvement with one or more extracurricular activities, work-study or off-campus jobs, and/or volunteer positions.
