The Role

The Senior Quantitative Developer will lead the development of the analytics and digital tools that support decision-making across Revenue, Operations, and Continuous Improvement within Cypress Creek Renewables’ Commercial function. Reporting to the Director of Analytics Products, this role will focus on building and deploying technology to optimize asset P&L, manage risk, and support data-driven offtake strategies. Key responsibilities include developing tools, dashboards, and models to measure and report portfolio risk and positions, as well as advancing the team’s data infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and analytics applications. This role is critical in shaping and executing the analytics ecosystem that underpins strategic decisions and commercial performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead product development initiatives ensuring cross-functional collaboration between Revenue, Digital, Project Development, Finance and Solutions (Asset Management, Performance & O&M) teams
  • Collaborate with key external stakeholders & partners on data ingestion, data shares, model development and consumption.
  • Support the development of innovative analytics tools to meet O&M stakeholder needs and to support the scaling of our portfolio
  • Leverage CI/CD pipelines for library deployment and testing 
  • Interface with data scientists and Digital Center of Expertise to expand CCR’s cloud computing capabilities. 
  • Work in close collaboration with data scientists and quantitative analysts to build out internal predictive modelling libraries to be leveraged across commercial activities. 
  • Develop interactive dashboards within the cloud analytic environment and provide insights so the teams can make the right solution decisions. 
  • Support the development/implementation of a future ETRM solution to support Origination and Portfolio Management. 
  • Support the Revenue team by becoming the commercial data/infrastructure expert with the initial focus on helping to develop the analytics platform

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of building data-driven software in a collaborative environment (Git, CI/CD, etc.) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
  • Expertise in programming languages and quantitative applications: Python (and comparable analytics programming languages), Dash (or comparable data visualization libraries) and AWS Cloud Platform (EKS, EC2, S3, Secrets Manager, ArgoCD, Grafana etc)
  • Development experience in Data pipelines, batched & streaming ingestion, APIs and connectors, Data Warehouses/Data Lakes (Snowflake, S3, Postgres), ETLs & Data Orchestration and Containerized applications (Kubernetes)
  • Experience devising software solutions for business needs and a strong foundational understanding of analytics ecosystem and product offerings
  • Deep understanding of data engineering principles and data life cycle management – Ingest, Store, Transform, Monitor and Serve
  • Aptitude for designing infrastructure, data products, and tools for data scientists.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills

Compensation: $140,000-$170,000 base plus bonus and benefits package.

Locations: This role will be based out of CCR's Chicago office, working on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
