 The Role:  

We’re looking for a Senior AI Data Engineer to join our Data Integration & Engineering team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and optimize the data infrastructure that powers AI capabilities across the organization. You’ll be responsible for building robust, production-grade pipelines to support vectorized and graph-based data workflows, LLM/RAG applications, and supervised learning models. 

This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you’ll partner with AI engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact data systems fueling AI-powered business applications. 

What you'll work on: 

• Designing and implementing scalable, reliable data pipelines and integrations to support LLM/RAG use cases. 
• Developing end-to-end workflows for vectorized and graph-based data, embedding generation, and retrieval systems. 
• Building and curating training datasets for supervised learning and model fine-tuning. 
• Processing structured and unstructured data into vectorized and training-ready formats. 
• Writing clean, scalable Python scripts to automate AI/ML data processing and pipeline orchestration. 
• Partnering with AI researchers, product managers, and business teams to deploy data infrastructure supporting real-world AI solutions. 
• Maintaining high standards for data quality, governance, and system reliability. 
• Participating in ongoing efforts to improve tools, infrastructure, and processes to meet evolving AI program needs. 
• Work within the Palantir Foundry platform to operationalize end-to-end data solutions. 
• Evaluating and integrating new AI-native data tools and infrastructure enhancements. 

Requirements

• 3–5+ years’ experience in data engineering with a focus on AI/ML pipelines, scalable infrastructure, or data products in production environments. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 
• Proven success building end-to-end, production-grade pipelines for AI/LLM or machine learning workflows. 
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for AI/ML data processing, vectorized data workflows, and model training pipelines. 
• Experience working with vector databases, embeddings, or graph-based data infrastructure. 
• Solid understanding of data lifecycle management, pipeline orchestration, and cloud-based infrastructure. 
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across AI, engineering, and product teams in a fast-paced environment. 
• Preferred: 
• Familiarity with modern AI-native data tools. 
• Experience with cloud data platforms and orchestration tools. 
• Experience leading or contributing to large-scale AI/ML data infrastructure projects. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to stay ahead in AI.

Benefits

Compensation:  

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,000-190,000. A discretionary bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package. 

Position Location:

This position will work out of the TWG office on a hybrid schedule in Santa Monica, CA. Consideration for a different working location will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
