Role Overview:

As a UI/UX Working Student in Research & Development, you'll be a key part of our innovative team, responsible for exploring new ideas and bringing them to life through compelling user-centered design. You'll work on cutting-edge projects and play a hands-on role in shaping our future products. We are looking for a creative individual with a deep passion for the gaming landscape and a strong focus on user experience. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the gaming industry, from conducting user research to designing intuitive interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping & Wireframing: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to illustrate design concepts and test user interactions.
  • AI-Powered Design: Utilize AI tools like Lovable for frontend and design to rapidly explore ideas and generate functional prototypes.
  • User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to gather insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points. You'll analyze user feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Visual Design: Design visually appealing interfaces and graphic elements, applying principles of color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to ensure designs align with product goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Act as a problem-solver, identifying and resolving usability issues and design challenges.

What We're Looking For:

  • Academic Background: Students from diverse academic backgrounds, including HCI, Interactive Media, UX/UI Design, Digital Media, Computer Science or similar fields.
  • Skills: A strong design skillset and an understanding of design thinking and creative problem-solving. Proficiency in design software like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite is highly recommended.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university student (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Curiosity about gaming industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Available for 20 hours per week on-site in Münster.
