Volunteer Position
Bio-Psychology DSC Social Committee Members (5-6 positions)
The Bio-Psychology Departmental Student Council (DSC) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to join our DSC Committee for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a volunteer position, open to all Life Sciences students from first to fourth year.
This application will be available until September 15th, 2025 at 4PM EST.
Time Commitment and Remuneration

Roles and Responsibilities
- Attending weekly DSC meetings
- Advertising DSC events to students
- Coordinate with other DSC members to organize events and joint initiatives
- Complete respective portfolio
MARKETING DIRECTOR (2 position available)
- Oversee the branding and visual identity of the DSC Biopsychology
- Design promotional graphics, posters, and digital content for all DSC initiatives
- Work with the Social Media Executives to ensure alignment of marketing and social media strategies
- Support outreach efforts by creating clear and engaging promotional material
- Attend weekly council meetings and DSC events
SOCIAL MEDIA (2 positions available)
- Manage and grow the DSC Biopsychology social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Design engaging graphics and posts to promote DSC events and initiatives
Work with the Marketing Executives to ensure cohesive branding across all platforms
Assist in live coverage of events (stories, posts, etc.)
Attend weekly council meetings and DSC events
OUTREACH (2 position available)
- Build and maintain connections between the DSC Biopsychology and students, faculty, and campus organizations
- Assist with recruitment and student engagement campaigns
- Help organize academic and career-oriented initiatives (e.g., info sessions, mentorship programs)
- Collaborate with the Events and Marketing teams to ensure wide student reach
- Attend weekly council meetings and DSC events
OUTREACH (2 position available)
- Plan and organize DSC Biopsychology events (e.g., study sessions, socials, career panel
- Collaborate with the Outreach and Marketing teams to promote events and maximize engagement
- Handle event logistics such as booking spaces, managing budgets, and coordinating volunteers
- Support in planning large-scale DSC events throughout the year
- Attend weekly council meetings and DSC events
YEAR REPRESENTATIVES
Advocate and act as a point of contact for their respective Life Sciences class.
- Second Year Rep (1):
- Plan and execute the large-scale Life Sciences clothing sale, alongside the first year rep
- Third Year Rep (1):
- Organize the Trivia/Drinks with Profs event
- Career services workshop (Networking, Resume/CV, Cover Letters, and Interview Skills)
- Fourth Year Rep (1):
- Organize the Life After LifeSci event
- Fourth Year send off
