Job Description:This is an 8 month Fixed-Term Contract opportunity to join SEEK as a Senior Payroll Consultant and take ownership of delivering exceptional payroll services across our diverse global portfolio. You will ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient end-to-end payroll processes while driving continuous improvements and automation initiatives. Working closely with HR Business Partners, Finance teams, and Leaders, you will maintain payroll excellence for all SEEKers while establishing strong stakeholder relationships.
You will report to the Manager, HRIS and Payroll and join a team of passionate professionals across Payroll, HRC and HRIS. This role contributes to SEEK's mission of helping people live more fulfilling working lives by ensuring seamless payroll operations. You will succeed by delivering accurate payrolls, implementing process improvements, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payrolls ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery
- Complete manual calculations, reconciliations and EOM/EOY reporting activities
- Maintain payroll records, employee files and ensure data accuracy across systems
- Update procedures, train team members and manage payroll inbox efficiently
- Identify risks, drive improvements and implement automation solutions
- Navigate Workday HRIS system and run reports to support payroll operations
- Establish strong stakeholder relationships and deliver exceptional customer experiences
Skills and experience
- Advanced end-to-end payroll experience with strong attention to detail
- Payroll system experience, preferably ichris and/or Ascender platforms
- Ability to interpret relevant legislation and ensure compliance requirements
- Exceptional planning, prioritizing and organizational capabilities
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills with numeracy competency
- Capability to think differently, understand current landscape, suggest improvements and advocate change
