The role
An opportunity has arisen within our Corporate Services team for a part time Bookkeeper based at our corporate office in South Brisbane.
Working closely with the Senior Accountant and supporting the broader organisation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the Foundation’s financial operations run smoothly. You’ll be supporting core business functions by delivering accurate, timely, and relevant accounting support.
This includes assisting with day-to-day financial transactions, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, supporting monthly reporting, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with audits and compliance requirements.
You will also liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries, ensure correct coding of expenses, and maintain the financial systems that underpin our operations and impact.
This is role is approximately 16 hours per week, on a 12-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

Key criteria
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Tertiary or vocational qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or junior accounting role
- Strong written communication skills, including experience contributing to the development of financial or administrative policies and procedures
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and general proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A self-starter with initiative, adaptability, and a strong team mindset
- Prior experience using accounting and payroll software (e.g. Xero, PaysOnline) is advantageous
