SHIPPING CLERK na Mucci PAC Ltd.

Title: Shipping Clerk 

Reports to: Shipping Manager

Based at: Mucci PAC Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario 

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6 days a week, and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities; which could include possible Sunday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment).

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Check all outbound product and verify against P. O’s and packing slips
• Prepare customs paperwork and packing slips.
• Inspect contents of shipments for quantities, descriptions, and proper goods
• Route shipments to the appropriate location(s) 
• Prepare outgoing shipments including required documentation
• Ensure the outgoing product is properly packaged, secured, and labelled as per customer specifications
• Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of finished goods, material, components, and packaging.
• Load and unload trucks
• Data Entry as assigned by shipping supervisor or manager. 
• Track Inventory between warehouses. 
• Investigate shipping related concerns/ Issues.  
• Move and manage appointments in TMS. 
• Any other administrative duties assigned by management. 
• Emailing Carriers PODs and following up on priority emails 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have 1-2 years’ experience in a shipping clerk, customs, or similar role.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Famous is considered an asset

• Must be a team player, able to multi-task and learn quickly
• Must have strong sense of urgency

• Must be able to function in a high capacity within a stressful work environment

Physical Abilities: 

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy material (i.e. up to 23 kg / 50 lbs.)
• Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
• Work in a temperature controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
• Must be able to use a hand cart for moving product.
