Veterinary Surgeon, Full Time – Fareham Park Gate

We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our team at Companion Care Vets Fareham Park Gate. 

We are a busy first opinion practice located between Southampton and Portsmouth, just off of junction 9 on the M27, and are ideally looking for a candidate with at least 3 years UK experience. A certificate holder would be advantageous, but not essential. 

We would be happy to consider both a part and full time role for the right candidate, full time being 40 hours per week. Weekends are on a rota basis with a 1 in 3 Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. 

You will be joining our established practice which celebrated will be celebrating it’s 25th year in 2025. Our team consists of three veterinary surgeons (varying in experience from a new graduate to over twenty years’ experience), with two additional locum veterinary surgeons currently. They are supported by seven registered veterinary nurses, two student veterinary nurses, three veterinary care assistants, seven receptionists, and our practice manager. In addition, four of our team have over 10 years’ service with us. Partner, Lucy Grinham, RVC graduate 2012, grew up locally and has been a member of the team since 2004, having started as a Receptionist whilst still at school.

Not only would you become a member of our team, but also part of four other locally owned surgeries with a pool of over 20 veterinary surgeons with various interests between them.

Our practice is built to industry leading standards and includes standard and dental digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, four consulting rooms, individual cat and dog wards, isolation and an onsite operating theatre.

You should be a proactive, well rounded GP Veterinary Surgeon with solid surgical and medical skills. You will need to be a strong team player, who is keen to be involved and work alongside us. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care, and enjoying the variety the role will bring.
