Job Description: Contributions Analyst I

Reports To: Contributions Group Supervisor

Position Summary:

The United Association National Pension Fund (UANPF) is a multi-employer defined benefit pension fund established over 50 years ago. We are responsible for administering the retirement benefits nationwide for over 160,000 hardworking members of UANPF and their families.

The Contributions Analyst I is an entry-level role responsible for analyzing and processing employer remittances and payments, maintaining employer accounts, and assisting with participation documentation.  This position is developmental in nature, intended for a maximum of 36 months, during which the employee is expected to progress to Contributions Analyst II based on performance and proficiency.  If you like to work in a team environment and are ready to support our hardworking members, this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Review employer remittances for completeness and accuracy; resolve discrepancies by communicating with employers and Local Unions
  • Ensure all remittances include proper account numbers, groups, Locals, and work periods
  • Send PEERS invitations, track responses, and maintain related correspondence
  • Deposit and verify employer checks (if applicable) and prepare balanced deposits for the Accounting Department
  • Process remittance reports and payments received electronically
  • Enter member detail records and assist with additional data entry as needed
  • Ensure Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) are properly documented, including participation forms, rate sheets, and signature pages
  • Follow up with Local Unions to collect CBAs and supporting documentation
  • Send new employer packets, monitor returns, and maintain participation records
  • Maintain wage rates and notify relevant departments of rate changes
  • Perform remittance edits
  • Research and resolve missing hours inquiries from members, Local Unions, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare refund packets for erroneous contributions
  • Act as backup for other Contributions Analysts as needed
  • Perform all other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College degree or a minimum of four (4) years of related work experience
  • Strong analytical skills; proficient in typing and information processing
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task effectively
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel

Confidentiality Requirement:

Due to the nature of this position, the Contributions Analyst I will have access to sensitive employer and participant data, internal procedures, and contribution documentation. Confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment are essential.  All information must be handled discreetly.  Breaches may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

SALARY: Level

HOURS:  8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (37.5-hour work week)
