Major Goals and Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced team environment that focuses on solution assessment and project implementation while creating and maintaining happy customers. The Project Engineer will work directly with customers to provide comprehensive support for their technology needs. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of Windows Server infrastructure environments, Office 365 solutions, general networking, and deployment processes. This includes the ability to intuitively troubleshoot a wide array of hardware, software, and networking issues within a Windows environment.
This position will include but is not limited to the following duties.
- Provide excellent technical support to our clients via phone, e-mail, remote, and onsite service.
- Assess, stage, and implement hardware, software, networking, voice, and mobile solutions from end-to-end.
- Maintain client satisfaction through professional and courteous service.
- Maintain your knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies and by achieving appropriate industry and professional certifications.
- Contribute to our passion and direction by helping to improve technical practices.
- Participate and engage in occasional projects that occur outside of standard business hours.
Requirements
Candidates should have a customer first attitude and 5 years’ experience implementing on-premise and remote project deployments, project management, and service onboardings from end-to-end. Ideal candidates should already possess 1 or more of the following certificates: CompTIA Network+, CCNA or CMNA, and Microsoft MCSA or MCSE equivalent in cloud hosting and server technologies. Additional experience with any of the following industry technologies is a plus: PSA, RMM, BCDR, MDR, MSSP.
- Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience working for a successful IT service company or similar environment. MSP experience is highly desired.
- Experience assessing and fully deploying and configuring workstations, servers, firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP solutions.
- Experience fully deploying and configuring virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware, and Azure)
- Experience fully deploying, migrating, and configuring Microsoft 365 or other cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot simple to complex network, virtualization, and server environments.
- Experience and working knowledge with the implementation and configuration of Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, Group Policy Objects, Network Policy Services, SQL Servers, etc.
- Possess an innate understanding of technologies coupled with a deep curiosity to always learn more.
- A “Customer 1st” philosophy and mindset.
- The ability to be punctual. Someone who believes that early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable.

Required
- Consistent experience with end-to-end implementation of various technology solutions
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of network support, TCP/IP, VLANs, and network deployments in a Windows environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and administrating Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 Hyper-V and VMWare virtualization, and Microsoft Office 365 environments
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with a rotating on-call schedule.
- Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for an employer without restriction.
Preferred
- Computer technology 2- or 4-year degree.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate for Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2016
- Experience managing on-premise and hosted versions of Microsoft Exchange
- Linux, Unix, or Mac knowledge a plus
- Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Experience with Office365 hosted systems, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- CCNA, CMNA, or equivalent networking experience.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki, Datto, Autotask, Continuum, or Webroot.

Compensation methods
- Compensation is dependent upon experience.
- Salary base with bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000 annually
