Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Pricing Analyst who can support pricing initiatives by building strategic frameworks, identifying business trends and opportunities, and creating price strategies to deliver on financial targets. This position requires strong mix of analytic and communication skills, someone who can identify new ideas for the organization pricing and other sales processes, patterns in data and is comfortable leading projects from beginning to end and presenting to senior leadership to drive decisions. This role will collaborate across the organization to ensure the strategies developed meet the needs of each division.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and proper accessibility of all reported data across business functions
- Develop and maintain tools, systems, and reporting processes to ensure consistency and efficiency and ensure all reports are accessible by right team/ user group
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Create and maintain Power BI reports to provide insights and support leadership decision-making
- Develop and maintain pricing models that can be easily used and strategies that align with the business objectives and customer value proposition.
- Provide pricing recommendations and guidance to the management and sales teams and partner with marketing team to develop targeted pricing campaigns
- Collect and analyze data from various sources, such as sales quotations, competitive promotions and pricing, customer feedback, industry trends, and cost analysis
- Monitor marketplace changes, industry trends, and competitor pricing strategies. Stay up to date on Competitor offers utilizing data from various sources (ie: advertising, social media and sales team, etc.)
- Manage John Deere and other OEM discount bulletin data in in Dobbs Quote and other systems where data is accessed and maintained.
- Create and maintain sales pipeline reports targeted at account managers, sales managers and senior management.
- Provide guidance on Transaction Pricing to leadership, sales, and marketing teams. Conduct training when needed on Transaction Pricing (why’s, what’s, how’s)
- Manage and maintain Transaction Pricing weekly process and reporting in PowerBi. Ensure subscriptions and communication are accurate and consistent
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze transaction pricing data (from Deere’s TP and Dobbs Quote)
- Manage the development and upkeep of the Transaction Pricing Module in Dobbs Quote. Work with development team to ensure system is working properly with John Deere API and other reporting tools.
- Maintain UCC data analysis in PowerBi
- Create, distribute and consolidate monthly participation files using data from UCC and Market Share reports. Communicate with sales management report status. Update PowerBi reports and publish information timely
- Maintain and identify areas of improvement for participation process and reporting
- Maintain market share reporting utilizing John Deere AEM publish data and adding to Dobbs Equipment market share model
- Maintain Sales Coverage data and reporting working with other functional departements
Qualification: The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to support strategic decision-making
- Strong knowledge of various tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, PowerBi, Tableau, or other data analysis and visualization platforms
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at different levels
- Demonstrates advanced interpersonal communication skills and levels of diplomacy and confidentiality
- Proven experience in pricing analysis, strategy, and optimization, preferably in a similar industry or market
- Proven ability to take complex business analyses and projects from concept to completion and make results accessible and relevant to business users at all levels
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of pricing, such as value-based pricing, cost-plus pricing, competitive pricing, and dynamic pricing
- Heavy equipment sales experience desired
- Organization and communication skills must be highly developed
- Computer skills need to be broad based.
Education: Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.
- College degree required and at least 3-5 years of industry related experience
- Pricing or data analysis and systems certifications highly desired

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Work Environment:
