Reports To: Board of Directors / Head of Operations 


About the Role:

The Bank Security/ Fraud Officer plays a critical role in planning, establishing, and overseeing security procedures throughout the bank. This position is the primary person investigating fraud in the bank.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in bank security or other financial role.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Creative, lateral thinking, problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle  complex collection cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all physical issues of security are addressed and tested monthly. 
  • Reviews and evaluates present security measures.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel in revising or updating security measures due to new or revised regulations,
  • Plans for upgrading of equipment and procedures.
  • Handles outside requests for information from law enforcement agencies.
  • Processes subpoena requests.
  • Works with the Bank's attorney on matters that would have an adverse effect directly related to any security or fraud issues. 
  • Reports monthly to the board regarding security issues. 
  • Completes investigations related to customer fraud incidents. 
  • Oversees facility maintenance at Operations Center

The Retail Collections Specialist utilizes strong communication and negotiation skills daily to engage with customers and resolve payment issues effectively. Analytical skills are essential for reviewing account histories, identifying patterns of delinquency, and developing tailored collection approaches. Proficiency in collections software and CRM systems enables efficient tracking and documentation of all collection activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Collaboration skills facilitate working with cross-functional teams to address disputes and improve customer satisfaction. Additionally, knowledge of relevant laws and regulations ensures that all collection efforts are conducted ethically and within legal boundaries.
