Hours:
- 12 hour shifts: 7pm to 7am.
- Typically 10-11 shifts a month.
Position Objective
The medical doctor (MD) is the portal of entry for all patients and services. This position is responsible in diagnosing patients through evaluating their signs and symptoms they are experiencing.
Essential Responsibilities
The following description of responsibilities to be performed is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.
- Maintain an environment of safety for patients, self and others
- Provide professional medical services to patients
- Exercise independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients
- Order and prescribe medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care, and other health and medical services
- Prescribe medically appropriate pharmaceuticals
- Consult and counsel with patients and families
- Provide health and medical education to patients and families
- Refer patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other health care professionals to assure appropriate multidisciplinary care is provided
- Document medical and clinical care in the patient's electronic record in a timely manner
- Assign the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to permit third party insurance billing
- Collaborate with and participates in the education of other medical professionals
- Adhere to the principles of medical ethics.

- Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
- Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment
- Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures
- Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department

Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution of medicine
- Board certified or Board Eligible (Must become certified within 2 years)
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of MN
- ABEM/ABOEM board (Will consider FP with EM experience)
- No ACLS/ATLS/PALS required if BCEM
