What's the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Analyst to support our Global derivatives team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in AlteryxVBA (Visual Basic for Applications)Power BI, and Excel Macros, with a proven ability to automate processes, design functional mappings, and collaborate across multiple stakeholders and platforms. This role is critical in enhancing operational efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities within the derivatives lifecycle and will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement robust mapping and workflow solutions.

What you will be doing

  • Develop, build and maintain Alteryx workflows to automate data transformation and reporting processes.
  • Create and optimize Excel Macros and VBA scripts to streamline manual tasks.
  • Integrate third-party applications to support seamless data exchange and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of data across systems and reports.
  • Design and document functional mappings for derivatives products and processes.
  • Build dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business insights and decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance existing reporting frameworks to meet evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with operations, technology, compliance, and external vendors to align on process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Facilitate discussions and workshops to identify automation opportunities and define solution architecture.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Alteryx workflows and macro tools.
  • Conduct UAT and validation of automated solutions and mappings.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, mappings, and reporting tools.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in derivatives operations or functional analysis.
  • Proficiency in Alteryx Designer, Excel VBA/Macros, and Power BI.
  • Experience working with third-party applications (e.g., trade processing, reconciliation platforms).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of derivatives products (ETD, OTC) and lifecycle events is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Alteryx Certification (Core or Advanced).
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or other data tools.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management practices.
