Salary: Base salary From $76,868 - $107,956 and access to the full salary packaging benefit with Maxxia to maximise your take-home pay. salary based on relevant nursing experience year level and our Enterprise Agreement pay grade.

Macquarie University Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurses to join our Medical Imaging team. In this role, you will play a vital role in wide range of procedures, including image guided biopsies, cardiac imaging, and pre-procedural assessments. You will work as part of a dedicated and highly skilled team. This includes working closely with interventional radiologists, radiographers and imaging technicians, and fellow registered nurses to provide quality patient care and ensuring procedures are conducted smoothly and safely.
Key duties of the role consist of conducting pre-procedural safety checks, IVC insertion and CVAD access, preparing and setting up interventional instruments and sterile fields and assisting the interventional radiology team throughout the procedure.

About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse on a permanent part-time (0.6 to 0.8 FTE) basis, working in our Medical Imaging department.
Ideally, you will have experience working within a Medical Imaging practice or facility. Exposure to the following procedures would be considered an advantage, however full training and support will be provided for a proactive and ambitious candidate:
CT Coronary Angiogram assessments
Biopsies, core and deep tissue
Intravenous cannulation and accessing PortaCaths and PICCs.
Key Accountabilities for Registered Nurse include (not limited to):
Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to provide a high standard of customer service and best practice interventional imaging procedures.
Perform nursing assessments and intravenous access in accordance with the standards set by MMI and MQ Health.
Assist Radiographers in the set-up of procedures, operation of equipment and administration of drugs during CT and MRI procedures.
Adequately inform patients and respond to questions and concerns about all aspects of imaging procedures to be undertaken or refer them to an appropriate source of further information.
Respect patient requests to allow confidante/s to be present during procedures (within reason) and ensure they comply with all instructions.
Comply with established standards for radiation protection (ALARA) and licensing (EPA), where applicable.
Seek out guidance and support from appropriate clinicians as required.

Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication and information technology skills
Proven ability to establish sound relationships with peers and clients using a customer service focus
Well-developed computer skills including the use of electronic medical records systems, MQ Word, Excel and web-based research
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining high clinical standards
Strong commitment to own professional development
Experience as a Medical Imaging or Oncology nurse, or experience with cannulating and CVAD access is highly desirable.
Note: This position requires you to comply with Immunisation Screening in line with Macquarie University Health requirements and Accreditation with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). This position also requires a current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance (WWCC) for NSW. You will also have to satisfy MQ Health that you meet all background checks (including criminal history check completed as part of our pre-employment checks process).
