The Staff Community Relations Professional, working under general supervision, is responsible for executing moderately complex tasks related to establishing and managing public and community affairs within the organization. The role plays a crucial part in establishing and maintaining connections between organization employees, its operations, and the communities where the organization has a business presence. The role assists in the coordination of the organization's community outreach and government relations efforts, along with representing the company at various community and industry functions.

• Coordinates the entire sponsorship logistics, managing every aspect from initial planning to execution, including maintaining the organization's current and past sponsorship files with comprehensive record-keeping.
• Orchestrates research regarding community involvement opportunities, driving employee volunteer initiatives, and creating and managing relationships with key community stakeholders, including government officials and opinion leaders.
• Coordinates the comprehensive calendar of sponsorship benefits and deadlines, meticulously tracking event ticket usage, and independently managing their distribution to ensure seamless execution.
• Monitors local media articles related to civic and community initiatives proactively, offering valuable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.
• Manages electronic databases encompassing sponsorship agreements and employee community involvement, serving as a reliable resource for guidance and fostering organized and streamlined processes.
• Represents the company at community events and industry functions, delivering presentations and speeches that reinforce the organization's commitment to community engagement.
• Evaluates and recommends solutions independently, assesses community relations-specific risks, and demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete assignments, contributing to collaborative, goal-oriented team efforts.
• Contributes to special projects by providing general administrative support as an integral part of a collaborative team effort and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Works under general supervision, actively participates in change efforts, and establishes influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, cultivating effective working connections.
• Develops an understanding of business acumen, recommends modifications, and communicates effectively, sharing knowledge and actively identifying opportunities for community relations improvement.

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Public Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Community Relations specializing in areas such as Conflict Resolution, Community Outreach Event Management, Community Educational Programs Design, Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
