Northern Health are seeking applications from International Medical Graduates (IMG) to gain an orientation and familiarity with the Australian Healthcare system by joining Northern Health on a 6-week clinical placement. 

 

 

 

About Northern Health:

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

 

Services are provided through our five main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

 

 

 

About the Role:

The program involves a six week clinical observership, with three weeks in a medical unit and three weeks in the emergency department, and access to Northern Health educational resources.

 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Completed a medical degree and internship
  • Passed Australian Medical Council MCQ examination (Part 1)
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency or a valid visa to be participate in the program
  • IELTS Test Pass (average of 7 or above overall) or PTE (66% or above) OET Pass (B or above in each category)

 

 

Highly Desirable

  • Passed Australian Medical Council Clinical Examination (Part 2)
  • Clinical practice experience within the last two years
