Join Our Amazing Team as a Part-Time Kennel Assistant at Brookhaven!
📍 Brookhaven Animal Hospital –  205 Town Blvd #210A, Atlanta, GA 30319

Are you passionate about animals and eager to make a difference in their lives? Brookhaven Animal Hospital is looking for a dedicated, compassionate Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an ideal entry-level opportunity for someone interested in starting or growing a career in animal care and veterinary medicine.

Whether you're just beginning your journey or looking to gain valuable hands-on experience, you’ll find a supportive, team-oriented environment where your contributions matter—and where pets come first.

🐾 What You'll Do:

  • Feeding & Watering: Ensure all pets receive their meals and fresh water according to their individual needs.
  • Cleaning & Sanitizing: Maintain clean living spaces by cleaning kennels, play areas, and other facilities, following established protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Walking & Bathing: Provide regular walks for pets, and bathe them when necessary, ensuring they stay happy and healthy.
  • Monitoring Well-being: Observe pets for any signs of illness or discomfort and report any concerns to the team to ensure the health and safety of our animals.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with pet owners, provide updates, and ensure pets are comfortable and well cared for during their stay.
  • General Assistance: Support the team with various tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth and positive experience for both the animals and their owners.

What You'll Bring:

To meet the needs of our patients and support our team, this role requires flexibility. You must be available to:
  • Work evenings and weekends as part of a rotating schedule
  • Participate in major holiday rotations (shared equitably among the team)
  • Adapt to changing needs of the practice with a positive, team-first attitude
What We’re Looking For:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Weekend and evening availability is required, including rotating holidays
  • Passion for animals and a strong work ethic
  • Prior animal care or customer service experience is a plus—but not required! We’re happy to train the right candidate
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and be comfortable working with animals of all sizes
  • A collaborative, dependable, and adaptable team player who can work both independently and in a fast-paced team setting

What We Offer:

  • Entry-Level Opportunity: This position is an excellent stepping stone to a rewarding long-term career in animal medicine.
  • Training and Development: Gain hands-on experience in animal care, and the chance to learn from experienced professionals.
  • Supportive Team Environment: Be part of a welcoming, friendly team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals.
  • Flexible Schedule: We understand the importance of work-life balance with part-time hours that fit your availability.
  • Growth Potential: Build the foundation for a successful career in animal care with the potential for advancement within Brookhaven as you gain experience.
