Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is searching for a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Science Teacher to join the

What You'll Be Doing

As a Middle School Science Teacher at White Mountain Middle School, you’ll deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in
life, earth, and physical sciences. You'll transform your classroom into a hub of exploration where students design experiments,
explore scientific phenomena, and connect their learning to real-world questions. You'll plan and implement thoughtful, developmentally
appropriate lessons, assess student understanding in meaningful ways, and create an environment where curiosity thrives.

You’ll manage your classroom in a positive, respectful, and inclusive manner that promotes student safety and engagement.
You’ll maintain accurate records and data, meet compliance expectations at the district and state levels, and work closely with
families to support each student’s growth. As a core member of the school team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues,
participate in professional development, and actively contribute to school-wide initiatives. You’ll serve as a role model of
integrity, professionalism, and a growth mindset, while supporting the emotional and academic development of all learners.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a licensed Oregon educator (or someone eligible for licensure) with a middle-level Science endorsement.
You bring a strong understanding of adolescent learners, a passion for student success, and the instructional skill
to meet the diverse needs of your classroom. You’re excited about using engaging strategies, integrating technology,
and supporting students of all backgrounds and learning profiles. You communicate clearly and compassionately
with students and families, and you’re committed to creating a classroom culture rooted in respect, and high expectations.

You’re someone who embraces collaboration, is well-organized, and brings a strong understanding of current educational practices.
You know how to maintain confidentiality, uphold district values, and respond professionally to supervision, all while
keeping your students at the heart of your work.

Position Title: Science Teacher
Placement: White Mountain Middle School, White City, OR
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 193/194 days/8 hr per day to begin immediately
Salary Range: $46,548 - $90,846 per year plus a Master's Stipend of $2,327.
Salary placement will depend upon verified full-time experience and Master's level credits.
Includes an excellent benefits package, including 6% PERS retirement "employee contribution" paid by the District,
and tuition reimbursement available
