1st Shift Production Line Lead/Operator
Position Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Production Associates to produce/assemble quality personal care products.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set forth by the company.
• Maintain good housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) throughout the plant.
• As needed, train associates and monitor improvement of their team.
• Monitor and assign work to production associates that ensures production goals are met.
• Ensure all work assigned to Production Associates is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and all requirements.
• Conduct adjustments and set up on production equipment, including but not limited to Fillers, Labelers, bundlers, case packers, etc.
• Work and communicate with the Quality Control team to ensure quality systems are in place and being abided by.
• Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and logbooks associated with their line/work station while complying with all regulations.
• Accountable for overseeing and organizing the flow of components, finished products, and associated documentation in daily operations
• Be able to make decisions relating to production with confidence.
• Serve as a frontline representative to enforce compliance with all safety objectives.
• Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed by management.
Qualifications
Technical Skills Required
• Strong attention to detail.
• Superior communication skills
• Effective Leadership skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
• Knowledge of operational flow (incoming inventory, pre weigh, compounding, Filling/ packaging and shipping.
Experience Required
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of Previous production and manufacturing experience is required.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to move, transport, and position objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read labels that could contain small fonts.
• Must be able to perceive and identify colors.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, and stretch.
• While performing the duties of the job, employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
• May be exposed to loud noise when assembly machines are running.
• May be required to ascend and descend ladders and/or stairs.
• May be exposed to repetitive motions (making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers).
