Job Summary:
The Supervisor of Stores oversees daily operations within the airline’s materials and inventory control department. This role ensures the efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and distribution of aircraft parts, tooling, and supplies in compliance with FAA regulations, Kalitta Charters II policies, and industry standards. The Supervisor of Stores provides leadership to the Stores team, maintains accurate inventory, records, and support maintenance operations by ensuring critical materials are available when required.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of warehouse and stores personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of aircraft parts, materials, and tooling.
- Maintain compliance with FAA, DOT, OSHA, and company requirements related to materials handling, traceability, and documentation.
- Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, audits, shelf-life tracking, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Monitor material requisitions and coordinate with Purchasing, Maintenance Planning, and Maintenance to ensure parts availability.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency in stores operations.
- Ensure hazardous materials (HAZMAT) handling, packaging, and shipping are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the onboarding and ongoing training of stores personnel to maintain a high level of compliance and operational readiness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in materials handling and distribution.
- Provide after-hours support as required to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure a safe working environment stores department personnel.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials, stores, or supply chain management, preferably in aviation or a related industry.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations related to parts traceability and handling.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check, Everify, and obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge).

Education/Certificates and Licenses:
- Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift certification preferred
- A valid unrestricted driver’s license
Work Environment & Culture Skills:
- Candidate must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check
- Candidate should be motivated, resourceful, energetic, organized and able to manage and be managed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with aviation maintenance/enterprise systems (e.g., TRAX, Ramco, Corridor, AMOS, or similar).

Physical Requirements:

- Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse/airside environments.
Location Requirements:
- Operation based in Erlanger, KY (CVG Airport)
- There is no ability to work from home
- There will be no relocation package for this position
Shift Requirements:
- Must be available full-time and work overtime when required

- Must be at least 18 years of age
