Summary:
The Manager Purchasing & Services is responsible for the centralized purchasing and inventory processes for all DHL eCommerce locations with annual spend in excess of $25 million for supplies, inventory, IT equipment and special order goods. This role works closely with various DHLeC teams in the areas of purchasing, compliance and inventory processes for all DHL eCommerce locations and with the Global Business Services team (GBS) to ensure cost savings and compliance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement team supporting all purchasing for corporate and distribution centers and IT Procurement process for equipment.
Manage contracts and relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms, among others.
Validate and approve supplier invoices in accounting system for corporate office and DC locations.
Resolve vendor issues with regards to pricing, delivery and invoicing. Work with transportation team and DC for customer supply issues.
Analyze travel spend and provide weekly reports to upper management.
Work closely with AP team to set up new vendors and identify any issues with invoice flow, research errors and payment inquiries.
Ensure all users, GL, cost centers, catalogs, and categories are all accurate in e-Procurement tool, GeT system.
Provide functional guidance and training to facility personnel on Procurement processes, SAP/MM and GeT. Serve as a subject matter expert for SAP and GeT.
Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
Reconcile monthly inventory before month end close to ensure all costs are allocated correctly.
Perform root cause analysis for process breakdowns on supply issues.
Obtain certificate of insurance requests for vendors.
Support approval process for expense reports ensuring compliance is met.
Hire, train and coach Procurement Specialist (s).
Prepare adhoc reports as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Skills:
Experience with SAP required, experience with SAP/MM preferred.
Detail oriented with strong problem-solving analytical orientation.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Able to make sound decisions based on company policy and procedure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate ability to work against a plan and meet deadlines.
Ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently with a high degree of accuracy
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.
5 to 7 years of experience in purchasing and procurement processes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word required.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
Regular sitting at work station for 25 – 75% of the work shift.
Frequent standing and walking.
Travel required (up to 10%).

Annual Salary of $84,675-$146,800. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
