Operations Analyst 

About Circular Services:  Circular Services is the largest privately held recycling and organics service provider in the U.S. It operates over 25 facilities serving major long-term municipal and commercial contracts.  Goal of Operations Analyst: This position is to learn all aspects of operations including running a plant, profitability, understanding processes, grading, analysis and support operations in their daily duties as well. Special projects may be needed as assigned that need done. This position will also learn to manage material, processes and procedures, people and know our policies. 

Key Responsibilities 

Safety Oversight: Conduct and document field safety audits. Track unsafe acts and audit SOP compliance. Report findings and develop corrective actions. Support accident investigations and maintain safety scorecards. 

Preventive Maintenance (PM) Auditing: Ensure PMs are completed correctly during site visits. Provide feedback to Operations Managers (OMs). Support accountability and training for equipment PMs. Maintain PM training and recertification schedules. 

Lean Manufacturing & Production Support: Implement tools and schedules to optimize production. Analyze downtime and inefficiencies to improve output. Coach lean practices and drive continuous improvement. Support cost reduction and P&L management. 

HR Support: Assist with disciplinary actions and employee reviews. Collect and utilize performance data. Maintain employee certification programs. Coach on costly mistakes to prevent recurrence. 

Vacancy Coverage: Provide coverage for OM vacations as needed. 

EOS Engagement: Participate in and lead L10 meetings. Ensure reporting accuracy and support EOS implementation. Monitor quarterly conversations and reporting. 

P&L Management: Analyze data to improve profitability. Understand supplier accounts and material flow. Collaborate with OMs on cost-saving process changes. Research and implement vendors for operational support (e.g., pallets, supplies). 

Maintenance Coordination: Schedule repairs and report production issues promptly. 

General Operations Support: Execute assigned projects to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong task and time management skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs unsupported.
• Ability to work in a production environment with mix of indoor and outdoor duties.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Some experience working in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to pass pre-hire drug test and random tests down the road.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong bias for action and “can do” attitude.
• Experience working in Production and/or Transportation.
• Some familiarity with heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Motivated to learn on the job from senior leaders.
• Motivated to work in a variety of settings from a desk to the scales to the production floor as needed.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.
