Position: Seasonal Tax Preparer (Contract/Temporary Role)
Location: Ridgefield, CT (position can be hybrid or fully remote)
Length of Position/Hours: 1/26 – 4/15 + 30 hours per week minimum
Summary of Position:
The Seasonal Tax Preparer is responsible for tax activities including, not limited to, tax preparations for corporate partnership, and individual federal and state tax returns.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare corporate, partnership, individual tax returns and planning under supervision of Manager
- Conduct appropriate/applicable research regarding tax issues to ensure accuracy and implementation of specific tax law
- Review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- File tax forms electronically for quick processing
- Support daily client workflow and projects
- Complete assignments within timeline and budget
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s degree in accounting or taxation
- At least 10 years (seasons) experience
- Proficiency in use of MS Excel and tax base software
- Must have experience with tax preparation of high-net-worth individuals
- Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information
- Ability to meet time constraints and client deadlines
- Ability to multi-task/manage a complex workload to meet reporting deadlines
- Detail oriented with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
